It's All About ME: Where Heaven, Hell, and Ego Collide
French artist and illustrator Marylou Faure's new solo exhibition, It's All About ME, showcases the artist's end-less ability to go beyond digital art. The three-part exhibition is a visual journey that takes spectators into the kingdom of rage, envy, loss, escapism, and the more vulnerable aspects of the human self.
The collection includes original artworks, 3D sculptures, and animations, each depicting one of the three parts of this show.
Part I - ‘A bit of both’
Part I explores the notion of being caught between conflicting emotions. There is an angel and a devil, both playing their role in the protagonist’s life. Like Yin and Yang, they are opposites but they are forever interconnected, representing the different aspects of your personality.
Part II - ‘No thanks, I’m staying here’
Part II is about escapism and the need to be in our own world. The fictional characters from this series are warm, magical and inviting. They lure you into a fantasy world where you can leave your troubles behind, even if it’s just for a moment.
Part III - ‘I’ve got a lot of things to say’
Part III focuses on the boiling emotions that can come to the surface when we are feeling vulnerable and exposed. The messages are aimed at your lover, your friends or family. They visually represent all the feelings someone can have on a daily basis.
